Raised in Vancouver, Joanne Cheng is a North American makeup artist who loves to highlight the confidence of everyone she meets. As a kid who wanted to follow in her Dad’s entrepreneurial footsteps, Jo achieved her Bachelor of Business Administration in Vancouver before setting up shop in Toronto as a Product Developer for one of the largest candle manufacturers in Canada. A few highly successful product ships (and very cold winters) later, Jo realized that her next life calling was in make-up design. After seeing the new path ahead of her, Jo put her business career aside to relocate to Los Angeles, where she received both hair and make-up training at one of the best schools in the industry: Make-up Designory (MUD).

 

These days, Jo currently resides in and works out of Toronto, but would love to take her craft anywhere around the world. Ultimately, her mission is to inspire confidence and empower individuals through make-up design and creative collaboration. She hopes you’ll take the opportunity to be inspired.
